Discussion

[12:02] RaviSharma: Welcome all

[12:14] RaviSharma: Ken showed all proposals on the Wiki meeting page

[12:15] RaviSharma: Mike elaborated meaning of competence questions and disambiguation. Janet also discussed domains and areas and languages

[12:16] RaviSharma: Covering only few domains will be restrictive

[12:17] RaviSharma: Janet - do you mean domains and use of languages in ontologies?

[12:18] RaviSharma: or languages and domain ontologies

[12:23] RaviSharma: Mike and Janet presented different aspects of disambiguation and Upper ontology?

[12:26] RaviSharma: Janet mentioned Matthew West's Digital twins project in relation to Upper Ontology.

[12:41] RaviSharma: tools are used to do some processing and also to create ontologies

[12:41] RaviSharma: Janet mentioned reference models for TLOs

[12:42] RaviSharma: Mike mentioned many of details can be uncovered during sessions

[12:44] RaviSharma: Janet - philosophical view of what exists in relation to disambiguation and world view... etc.

[12:45] RaviSharma: why should we be stuck at TLO while discussing to converge on summit title?

[12:53] Mike Bennett: Knowledge Graph is getting a lot of exposure but unfortunately this is shifting the focus from semantics to syntax i.e. the idea that you can embrace this new physical architecture and you don't have to worry about meaning.

[12:56] RaviSharma: Ram - suggest a title Ontologies: The Road Ahead

[12:59] RaviSharma: excellent words from Mike

[12:59] Mike Bennett: Knowledge Organization Systems - the Road Ahead

[13:01] Mike Bennett: For people who have not heard of SKOS that should be a problem

[13:01] Mike Bennett: We can also unpack what SKOS does or does not do.

[13:02] Mike Bennett: Knowledge Organization - The Road Ahead

[13:02] RaviSharma: what if we just say Knowledge or Knowledge Management Systems or without Systems
