OntologySummit2014_Hackathon - Project

Ontohub consolidation

Team Lead Till Mossakowski (mossakow at iws.cs.uni-magdeburg.de), Oliver Kutz (okutz at mac.com). Start at 10h CET (47OQ)

Ontohub.org is a git-based ontology repository for heterogeneous and distributed ontologies. Various important ontology repositories such as BioPortal, COLORE, Tones, SOCoP and SpacePortal and mirrored or hosted at Ontohub.org. (47OR)

After last's year integration of the OOPS! service during the Ontolog hackathon and the integration of a git backend, now Ontohub.org needs further consolidation. This will be the goal of the Hackathon. People can contribute through programming in Ruby on Rails, but also by testing the platform. (47OS)

Goals

We want to process the tickets in the current Ontohub milestone. The milestone is called "FOIS competition", motivated by the fact that Ontohub is being used for the FOIS ontology competition, which has received 15 submissions now stored at Ontohub. Currently, there are 21 open and 240 closed tickets, the milestone is 92% completed. The goal is a 100% completed milestone. Priority is on bugfixes. New features should be postponed to the next milestone.

Organisation

We will start at 10h CET and finish around 19h CET, with some lunch break in between.

We will use the code repositroy and issue tracker at https://github.com/ontohub/ontohub. Results of the Hackathon will be immediately visible at http://develop.ontohub.org, and be later deployed to http://ontohub.org

Participation

You are welcome to participate, either as a ruby on rails developer, or as a tester of the developed code, which will be regularly and quickly deployed at http://develop.ontohub.org.
