Information Technology, Office of the Director, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality - interested in SICoP/Ontology pilot!

on UDEF, SUMO, and DOLCE. They seem to have forgotten or overlooked Adam and Peter's presentation last December to Jon Bozak's group.

• • 3. Marc Wine's new position - Coordinating Intergovernmental Health IT in

the GSA Office of Intergovernmental Solutions (shares office with Susan). He wants to work with us.

• • 4. An email from Esther Dyson on Health Information Technology at the

Management of Change Conference last week and plans for seminars in the fall.

• • 5. Vish in Dr. Brailer's office wants to meet with me and Richard Singerman

(also Dr. Brailer's Office) heard our pilot presentation and likes it.

    • suggest Peter to send comment to Mike Daconta ref UDEF, iso-11179 & upper ontologies
    • Brand and Marc will visit with the following people and report back
      • Vish at Dr. Briler's office
      • Dr. Fitzmaurice
      • will also talk to Esther Dyson who is working with the Markel Foundation
    • finalizing the 6/13 DRM Public Forum agenda soon - need input if this group wants to present at that workshop
      • Peter will get back to Brand in a couple of days (subject to scheduling of an NSF meeting around the same time)
      • Brand: Oracle is demonstrating their RDF backend on that workshop
    • Brand: according to Vish, NHIN-RFI report will be out in a week or so
    • Content Analyst only handles text, also, can only handle small text files
    • Brand, therefore went ahead only with FAST
    • plan to develop an ontology from that result similar to FEARMO

    • Brand: I'd like to turn this over to Marc, Dr. Fitzmaurice or Vish who may have the resources to make things happen
