I am currently working with Greg Bloom on a project involving 'community resource directory data,' i.e., information about social services in a geographic community that can be used in accessing information about those services and in making a referral. My interest is in establishing an open, comprehensive directory of all available human and social services, perhaps possibly patterned after the AIRS taxonomy and, along with Greg, my understanding is that we will need to develop an ontology as a universal standard to do so.
