This is the page to describe the Ontology Summit 2007 Process     (1A)

Process Deliverables     (1B)

  • 3 months of rigorous virtual discourse     (1B1)
  • Coordinate and reduce finding and conclusions into a written communique     (1B2)
  • 1.5 days of face-to-face technical workshop (whole day Apr. 23 & morning of Apr. 24, 2007 at NIST, Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA)     (1B3)
  • a Half day symposium which will be opened to the public and the press, where our key messages and the joint communique will be presented     (1B4)

The 6-step previously referred to as "draft-2" process is officially adopted (at the 2007.03.20 meeting)     (2A)

Our 6-Step Process     (2B)

  • 2. collect ontology (or ontology-related) terms used in each constituency     (2B2)
    • with a specific e-mail thread for each constituency     (2B2A)
      • use of the e-mail forum may help reduce duplication of efforts     (2B2A1)
  • 3. collect representative ontology (or ontology-like) artifacts from each constituency     (2B3)
