1. Meeting called to order:     (1F1)

2. Roll Call:     (1F5)

3. Status Review and Discussion:     (1F7)

Suggested topics to be covered:     (1F11)

  • a review of the join OOR-Ontolog session: ConferenceCall_2008_12_04 - Peter P. Yim & Mathieu Daquin     (1F13)
    • great works presented by the panel     (1F13A)
    • lack of awareness of participants from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean previously, but now starting to get bridged     (1F13B)
    • climate is ripe for more collaboration and coordination of efforts ... developing federation strategies could be a way forward     (1F13C)
    • let's explore joint proposals that US and EU players can each take back to their funding agencies with     (1F13D)
  • partitioning the join OOR-Ontolog mini-series championship effort     (1F14)
    • defer discussion until we have all 5 champions for this mini-series     (1F14A)
  • Re-assessing our resources     (1F15)
    • Given the addition of US-EU collaboration and student efforts, suggest we get a chance to collectively re-assess who is actively "on" now, what resources they are bringing to the table, and then tweaking and fine tune our implementation approach again     (1F15A)
    • Todd and Mike will go check on possibility of companies to sponsor project and provide some small funding for student travel (to report on their projects) and the like     (1F15B)
    • Rex can provide contacts who have real needs for an OOR type product     (1F15C)
  • Funding and proposals     (1F18)
    • further to our Nov-14 discussion, we did not get enough interest to put together a team project proposal for oor-nsf08575.     (1F18A)
    • we encourage OOR team members to continue "pairwise" collaboration efforts, and to use the "OOR" label in their proposals (where applicable) so we can build up the 'brand' recognition and support each other's proposal efforts that way.     (1F18B)

5. Any Other Business:     (1F22)

6. Action items:     (1F23)
