Marc-André Léger

Professor Marc-André Léger is a cybersecurity specialist, researcher and educator at Polytechnique Montréal, Concordia University and Sherbrooke University living in Montreal (Canada). He has 30+ years experience in CyberSecurity, in technical, business and management roles. Marc-André Léger has an extensive IT track record that includes tech support, coding, network management, project management and cybersecurity. He holds many graduate degrees, including a Ph.D. in Information Technology, a Masters in MIS specialized in cybersecurity, an MBA, an Executive MBA (Paris Dauphines) and graduate certificates in healthcare informatics, innovation and pedagogy. His Ph.D. dissertation was about cybersecurity competencies in financial institutions, were he developed a cybersecurity competency ontology. His Post-Doctorate Fellowship work is about machine learning applications in cybersecurity compliance, using an IT compliance ontology. He teaches ontology engineering and design, and the use of ontologies in cybersecurity, in particular for threat and vulnerability identification and IT risk assessment.
