Community Calendar Implementation

The Community Calendar project has the general objective of improving the advertising of Ontolog and related events. Some of the more specific suggestions include:

• Implementing a calendar page that shows events on a monthly basis.
• Improving the email announcements of upcoming events as in http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?ConferenceCall_2007_05_17/EventAnnouncementSuggestions
• Recruiting volunteers who can act as liaisons to other communities. Such a liaison should be a member of both Ontolog and another community, who has these duties:
  • Posting relevant Ontolog announcements to the other community
  • Adding relevant events to the Ontolog calendar
  • Identifying and helping to resolve misunderstandings that might arise between the communities
