Borislav Iordanov is a software professional, often working at the intersection of knowledge engineering and software architecture. He created one of the first open-source graph databases - HyperGraphDB - with native support of reified n-ary relationships and an overlaid type system. The database easily supported several knowledge representation formalisms, including Topic Maps, OWL and Prolog, making them interoperable. He likes to develop knowledge-driven software or tools to help incorporate knowledge representation languages and practices into mainstream software development. Some examples are: an OWL model-driven CRM for e-government service intake and processing; a fiction writing software with semantics-based world building and timeline; a Protege plugin for git-like versioning of OWL ontologies; a controlled English editor for RDF data entry and exploration. Currently, he applies knowledge representation and modern AI techniques to the domain of cyber security.
