During ontolog meetings, users can get connect using IRC.

First suggested by Li Ding (2008.07.25) for OOR meetings - see discussion thread

Features

• No account registration -- unlike other instance messenger tools, IRC does not require an account with password.
• Text interface complementing voice call - IRC offers an online chat-room for multiple users, its text interface compliments to voice channel
• Free logging - user can dump the chat log

How to use IRC

• (optional) install Firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
• (optional) install ChatZilla extension on Firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=16
• irc://irc.freenode.net/ontolog - type this link in Firefox address bar, and ChatZilla should auto start
