Ontology Summit 2014: Face-to-face Workshop and Symposium - Registration, Venue and Access

Event: OntologySummit2014_Symposium (face-to-face workshop) hosted by the NCO_NITRD

The culmination of Ontology Summit 2014 - a 2-day workshop and symposium event in the Greater Washington, DC Area hosted by NCO_NITRD. The event will be held at the NSF Stafford Place (near the Ballston Station of the DC Metro - Arlington, Virginia) and will support both face-to-face (on-site) and virtual (remote) participation! ... Participation is free of charge.

For On-site Attendees

Attendance is free-of-charge, but on-site participants must be pre-registered (there is no on-site registration) so that badges can be available at the entrance to the NSF Stafford Place. Please register here (make sure you've clicked the "submit" button before leaving the registration page.) ... Registration for on-site participation is open until Wed 23-April-2014 (or until the limited venue capacity is filled, whichever is sooner).

  • For registered attendees, the posting of your name below serves as your confirmation that you are properly registered. (If, for any reason, you decide that you are not able to make it, please make sure you write <peter.yim@cim3.com> to cancel your registration - as we only have limited space to accommodate on-sites participation, and registration will be closed when that capacity is filled.)

On-site attendees should plan to arrive at the NSF (4201 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22230, USA) Stafford-I lobby by about 8:00am EDT on April-28 (day-1), to allow time to get your badge, proceed to the symposium venue, and get settled before the program starts at 8:30am EDT.

  • The National Science Foundation (NSF) is located at 4201 Wilson Boulevard (Stafford Place I), Arlington, VA 22230. The OntologySummit2014_Symposium will be held in Rm. 1235 (12th floor of NSF Stafford I Building).
  • Before proceeding to the meeting space in Stafford I, Rm. 1235, you must first obtain a visitor's badge at NSF Information and Conference Center Desk. It is located on the first floor of Stafford Place I at the N. Stuart and 9th Streets entrance. Once you have obtained your visitor's badge, please proceed to the meeting location on the 12th floor, Rm. 1235/NSF Boardroom.
  • If you are traveling by Metro, take the Orange line to Vienna (Virginia) and get off at the Ballston-MU stop. Upon exiting Metro, proceed south on N. Stuart Street to the NSF entrance at the corner of N. Stuart and 9th Streets to pick up your badge. (See the blue dotted line on the local map here.)
  • If you are traveling by car, see Google maps to obtain directions. Garage parking is available at NSF on 9th Street and on N. Stuart Street for $9.00 per day (prices subject to change). Metered parking is available on the surrounding streets.
  • Hotel reservation: NCO_NITRD has blocked out some rooms for the Symposium attendees at the hotel below:
    • Guests can reference the "National Coordination Office" room block for the government rate of $224/night.

OntologySummit2014_Symposium) - if you are only planning to join us on specific session(s) or just one of the two days (not the entire workshop).
