  • Mark Musen: within the biomedical communities, there are those who object to standardization, even in syntax
  • Peter P. Yim / Leo Obrst: we only want to characterize the space and capture the attributes from the vantage point of each constituency
  • Mark Musen: we should be very clear to people from different constituencies that they will all have a say coming to the table;
    • more specifically, the framework should compare, for example, (so that we are recognizing the differentiation and merits of each constituency):
      • 'how formal things are' (Mark), as well as
      • 'how easily their "ontology" methods can be adopted' (Mark) or,
      • say, even 'estimated size of a specific community' (Peter)
