Lee received a B.A. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, Ireland in 2004 and 2008 respectively. She also worked as a Research Assistant in the IBM Research Lab, Zurich, Switzerland from 2004 – 2006. Lee is a voting member of the Collaboration Object Model for Interoperable Collaboration Services ([[ICOM]]) Technical Committee.

Deirdre Lee is a Researcher at the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI), National University of Ireland, Galway. Her research interests include data interoperability, collaborative work environments, eGovernment, and the social web.
