Jason Peel

Jason’s career started in engineering, first as an apprentice for British Aerospace in 1986, before moving on to becoming an electromechanical draughtsman. With the implementation of a new CAD system, his focus changed to that of the technology being used. This led to a position within a CAD vendor, the start of his technology career.

It wasn’t until 2011 Jason was able to attend University and gain his Bsc(Hons) in Computing. From this point he became a teacher helping others to see the potential of a STEM career. As an aside to his teaching he was able to undertake various short term consultancy projects exploring data in the enterprise landscape. Specifically he has spent a large amount of time exploring graph databases. His personal discovery of the power of ontologies was a game changer and is now where he sees his future career.
