  • Summit face-to-face related announcements:
    • as of last Monday, there are about 70 people registered for on-site; and 11 for remote participation (as of this morning)
    • we'll be in Building 101 (Administration Building) using the NIST "employee lounge"
      • set aside half-an-hour to get pass the gate check, badging and getting to the building
    • there will be "guest wireless access" which are not within the NIST firewalls
  • other announcements:
    • we will not be "hosting" coffee and refreshments, participants can buy their coffee etc. from the cafeteria, which is right across from the room

    • Fabian explained the process about getting registered at the gate and then parking
    • Fabian will help put up a map to NIST, and a campus map (indicated where our meeting would be)

    • those staying at the hotel should make arrangements for the hotel to shuttle them to the NIST campus
    • there is a shuttle between the Shady Grove Metro station and the Gaithersburg NIST campus (leaving at 15-min & 45-min. points at each hour) - please refer to details at the NIST-directions
    • Ken just put up a page to help coordinate car-pooling - see: OntologySummit2008/Carpool
