I am a new Informationist (medical librarian) at the University of Michigan Taubman Health Sciences Library. My area of focus is data standards and terminologies. I am interested in learning more about the use and development of ontologies, in order to better support biomedical researchers here at the University of Michigan. I am currently working on a resource guide on biomedical ontologies, which can be accessed here: http://guides.lib.umich.edu/ontology

I recently became a librarian after a long career in software quality engineering, primarily in the private sector, most recently in the medical domain. I came to UM to work on the transition to ICD-10 for clinical quality measurement. I have long been interested in data standards.
