New page

= Cycorp =

Cycorp is a provider of semantic technologies that bring a level of intelligence and common sense reasoning to a wide variety of software applications. The Cyc® software combines a common sense ontology and knowledge base with a powerful reasoning engine and natural language interfaces to enable the development of novel knowledge-intensive applications.

Cycorp hosts the Cyc Project, a long-term year project led by Dr. DougLenat. Cycorp's goal is to develop common sense artificial intelligence. The Cyc system uses a large-scale knowledge base comprising many ground facts and elaborate rules, and a general purpose reasoning engine.
