It’s an open problem that requires a systematic approach to testing and debugging, that is, to the whole ontology development process. This applies to OWL ontologies but even more so to foundational ontologies in FOL since the latter are often just proven to be satisfiable and nothing more.

			01:50:29 Ítalo Oliveira: I haven’t looked it up, but I am sure there are works using ontologies for data integration in scientific contexts. There’s a major question about designing the right ontological theories for, say, physics. However, data merge is clearly a nice use case of ontologies in scientific enterprises (imagine you have different equipment and sensors capturing data for your experiments).
