Kathy Lesh

Kathy is a healthcare professional with more than 30 years of varied experience. After numerous years as a clinical bedside nurse, educator, and research nurse in a variety of settings, Kathy then spent more than 10 years as a curator and developer of healthcare terminologies and ontologies with the KEVRIC Company. For the last several years she has been focusing on healthcare quality measurement and policy development for quality reporting and incentive programs with the MITRE Corporation. In a new role with Battelle, she now has the opportunity to combine two passions of healthcare quality and ontology development by working with a team to develop an ontology for healthcare quality measures. Along the way she obtained BS in Nursing from Wilkes College, an EdM from Boston University, an MS in Nursing from University of Illinois at Chicago, a PhD in Human Services from Capella University, certification in nursing informatics, and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
