Regina Motz

I am Full Professor at the Instituto de Computación, Facultad de Ingeniería, Universidad de la República, Montevideo, Uruguay where I lead the Semantic Information Systems Research Group. I am also responsible for the interdisciplinary group on Accessible Open Educational Resources at Universidad de la República. I obtain a BSc in Computer Engineering from Universidad de la República, Uruguay, and hold an MSc in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. My research interests include ontology engineering, data integration, context modeling, learning analytics, and open educational resources. I lead an important amount of international projects granted by national and international agencies. Recently, I have been the local coordinator of the project SELI: Smart Ecosystem for Learning and Inclusion, granted by the Network of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean Countries on Joint Innovation and Research Activities (2018-2020).
